Faithful

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” ~ Hebrews 10: 19-23

Vulnerability requires Risk

I wanted to portray the barriers we put up to protect ourselves. To acknowledge the truth – weakness, imperfection – is scary (fear keeps us bound up) but to transform, we need to take the risk, and allow ourselves to be vulnerable. And I’m just peeking, ‘cos I’m really not too sure yet.
I struggled with this page – I knew what I wanted to say, but couldn’t seem to get it to look the way I wanted. In the end, any attempts to improve it just seemed to make it look worse! Those hands are not supposed to look like cat paws…

Transform Willingly

Looking for inspiration for 2015, I joined a couple of online groups on His Kingdom Come website. One them, called Take Me Deeper, is a mixture of Bible study and art…where you can interpret the scripture in whatever art form you prefer. You can join at any stage, and it’s free!

January Theme is Transformation and this week’s scripture is Romans 12: 1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Enough is Enough

Feeling tired. It’s been a crazy month. Some days I feel like I’ve been spinning in circles, wondering what to do next – what’s most important? Where do I start? What do I leave? What day is it today? – Really!? What happened to yesterday?

It’s a challenge trying to be creative when you’re dog tired,  but I enjoyed doing ths page, especially the circles.

I’m wondering if it’s time to start looking for a new job, but there’s so much I love about this one. It’s a dilemma…  🙁
